Job Overview
The Customer Care Representative delivers a consistent, high-quality customer experience while supporting health-related inquiries across multiple communication channels. This role requires professionalism, empathy, attention to detail, and the ability to handle routine-complex customer interactions while maintaining strict confidentiality standards.
The position supports assigned client groups and plays a key role in ensuring timely, accurate, and respectful communication related to diagnostic services.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver exceptional customer service across voice, email, chat, fax, and digital channels
Perform routine-complexity health-related customer support activities
Make routine outbound customer calls using established scripts and procedures
Respond to inquiries regarding patient results, tests, services, and service issues
Maintain strict confidentiality of health, personal, and customer information
Demonstrate empathy and professionalism when delivering sensitive health information
Support multiple client groups based on business needs
Meet established productivity, accuracy, and quality standards
Embrace continuous improvement, digital tools, automation, and AI-enabled workflows
Required Skills & Qualifications
Minimum 1 year of customer service experience
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to provide consistent, high-quality customer service
Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and quality
Ability to work in a fast-paced, structured environment
Preferred Skills & Experience
Healthcare or laboratory-related customer service experience
Experience meeting productivity and quality metrics
Proficiency with Outlook, Excel, phone systems, chat platforms, and digital tools
Comfort working with automation and AI-supported customer interactions
Additional Requirements
Valid identification required (Driver’s License, SSN card, or Passport)
Ability to work onsite during scheduled hours
