The Special Needs Classroom Nurse provides health services for students with disabilities who receive special education and related services in a center-based classroom. The role focuses on delivering medical services while maintaining students in the educational environment (in the classroom, playground, on buses/vans, etc.). This nurse position may also provide medical care for students on transportation to school.

• Provide health services to assigned student(s) with disabilities in a center-based special education setting.
• Maintain students in the educational environment by delivering required medical care as needed throughout the school day and during transportation.

• Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing
• Registered Nurse License
• Prior experience working with children in a special needs setting is preferred but not required

• Starting Salary:
  Salary commensurate with degrees held and years of experience
• ADN - $44,646
• BSN - $46,794

• All employees must have a current TB test (Tuberculosis). If you’ve had a recent TB Test (less than 12 months), a copy of the results is acceptable. If it’s been more than 1 year, a new test is required. Employees are responsible for the cost of the test.
• Must submit a pre-employment physical prior to the first day of work.
