As a Structural Design Engineer, you will be a part of a growing team that supports all aspects of the construction process by performing innovative design engineering through brainstorming conceptual designs, performing and/or reviewing structural calculations, developing plans, scheduling tasks to meet client needs, as well as mitigating risk to keep our construction crews safe. Depending on the project load, you may be asked to support in multiple capacities including estimating and production environments.

The position is located in Lenexa, KS. Other locations may be considered.

• Performs intermediate calculations under the supervision of a more senior engineer. Solves problems using well established scientific principles.
• Able to analyze data and understands the relationships and correlations.
• Ability to draw conclusions and present findings to senior leadership.
• Proactive about learning new information and skills.
• Under general supervision, analyze structures using various structural engineering software programs. Design buildings and building foundations, equipment platforms and foundations, pipe racks, and miscellaneous concrete and steel structures. Prepares quantities, cost estimates, and other supporting documentation for projects.
• Initiates development of personal objectives aligned with those of the organization.
• Seeks feedback and uses it effectively.
• Has good understanding of the complete design and has good input into ways of improving the design.
