Our reputation attracts the highest quality personnel, people who are committed to producing projects that set a standard for excellence. At PAR, we take on the most challenging and complex projects we can find and hire people who thrive on hard work and demanding opportunities.

About

the Role

PAR Electrical Contractors is seeking a seasoned Regional Safety Manager (Civil & Foundation Division) to lead safety efforts across multiple project sites within a defined region. This person will be responsible for establishing, implementing, and maintaining safety programs, policies, and performance metrics, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and promoting a culture of safety excellence. As part of PAR’s leadership team, you will work closely with operations, project management, clients, and subcontractors to reduce risk, prevent incidents, and ensure that every job is completed safely.

What

You’ll Do
  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve safety policies, procedures, and programs tailored for electrical construction, including transmission & distribution, overhead & underground work, substations, and related high-voltage environments.
  • Perform regular safety audits, site inspections, risk assessments, and job hazard analyses to identify unsafe conditions or practices; recommend and monitor corrective actions.
  • Lead incident and near‑miss investigations: root cause analysis, corrective/preventive measures, documentation, and follow‑up.
  • Train, coach, and mentor safety personnel, project managers, superintendents, foremen, subcontractors, and field staff on safety best practices, regulatory standards (OSHA, NFPA, etc.), and company safety expectations.
  • Track safety performance metrics (leading and lagging indicators), analyze trends, prepare reports, and share insights with senior leadership to drive continuous improvement.
  • Oversee subcontractor safety: review their safety plans, ensure they align with PAR’s requirements, conduct pre‑mobilization safety reviews, manage contractor compliance.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance at all levels (federal, state, and local), maintain necessary permits and records, ensure safety documentation is up to date.
  • Participate in pre‑construction/planning phases to embed safety into project planning, including site‑specific safety plans, equipment reviews, and hazard mitigation strategies.
  • Promote a positive safety culture: engage employees at all levels, lead safety meetings/toolbox talks, encourage reporting of hazards and near‑misses, recognize safety successes.
  • Travel regularly to project sites within the region for oversight, inspections, training, and to support site safety teams.
What You’ll Bring to the Role
  • Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Industrial Safety, Construction Management, Engineering, or a closely related field. Advanced degree or additional certifications preferred.
  • Certifications:

Strong preference for Certified Safety Professional (CSP), ASP, CHST, or equivalent safety credentials. Knowledge of NFPA, OSHA standards (particularly those affecting electrical work), plus any industry‑specific safety certifications.
Experience
  • At least 7–10 years’ experience in safety leadership roles, preferably in electrical construction, power delivery, or utility sectors (transmission & distribution, substations, overhead/underground work).
  • Experience managing multiple sites or projects concurrently, including oversight of subcontractor safety programs.
Skills and Competencies
  • Deep knowledge of regulatory requirements and safety standards relevant to electrical construction and high voltage work.
  • Strong investigative skills — able to lead root cause investigations, define corrective action plans, and follow through on implementation.
  • Excellent communication, training, and coaching skills…
