Consumer Access Specialist Part Time Days Lenexa City Center

Advent Health is seeking a dedicated Consumer Access Specialist for part-time day shifts at the Lenexa City Center. The role focuses on Medicare compliance, patient financial responsibilities, and coordination with clinical and utilization departments.

Job Description

• Perform Medicare compliance reviews and issue Advance Beneficiary Notices of Noncoverage as needed.
• Create accurate estimates for patient financial responsibility and collect payments or establish payment plans.
• Coordinate with utilization management staff for pre-authorization issues and ensure patients have necessary logistical information.
• Contact insurance companies to verify eligibility and benefits, obtaining pre-authorizations within established time frames.
• Register patients for all services, ensuring accuracy and minimizing duplication of medical records.
• Collect critical demographic information and confirm insurance details.
• Provide coverage for PBX (switchboard) as needed, including answering phones and transferring calls.
• Perform cashiering functions such as collections and cash reconciliation accurately.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or equivalent (required).
• Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA) or Certified Revenue Cycle Rep (CRCR) from an accredited issuing body.

Schedule – Part time, Day shift (9:30 am – 8:00 pm). F/S/S.

Location – 16950 W 86th St, Lenexa, KS 66219.

Pay Range – $17.40 – $27.84 per hour.
