The Radiology Technologist Aide functions as a member of the patient care team and provides support to the imaging department to ensure optimal patient care. The Radiology Technologist Aide is under the direction of the Radiologist, Radiology Technologist, Radiology Nurse, Team Leaders, Operations Manager, and Radiology Department Director.
The value you'll bring to the team- Escorts patients to and from clinical areas and verifies patient identity, according to policies and procedures.
- Assists technologists and provides support to the imaging department.
- Assists technologists with preparing patients for radiology exams by positioning patients for procedures.
- Assists technologists with patient reports/charts, and delivering reports to patients and physicians.
- Follows radiation safety procedures and guidelines.
The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed
- High School Diploma or Equivalent Required
- 1 Year of Position-Related Experience Preferred
- BCLS - Basic Life Support obtained through the American Heart Association Required
