Responsibilities
- Write client‑side and server‑side scripts (e.g., Business Rules, Script Includes, UI Policies)
- Design and implement workflows and automation using Flow Designer or Workflow Editor
- Customize forms, fields, and UI elements for optimal user experience
- Integrate Service Now with external systems using REST or SOAP APIs
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver scalable solutions
- Ensure compliance with development and governance standards
- Support upgrades, apply patches, and maintain system health
- Develop custom applications using Service Now Studio and App Engine
- Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field - Experience:
2+ years of Service Now development experience - Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies for project delivery
- Ability to work on‑site full‑time (1 day/week remote after 90 days)
- Strong knowledge of Service Now AI, platform architecture, and scripting
- Proficiency in JavaScript and Glide API
- Familiarity with ITIL processes and Service Now best practices
- Excellent problem‑solving and communication skills
- Collaboration with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver solutions
- Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to development standards
- Service Now Certified Application Developer (CAD)
- Experience with ITSM, ITOM, or SAM modules
- Exposure to integrations and API development
- Previous Service Now Administrator duties strongly desired to support redundancy purposes
- Local to the Kansas City Metro area
