Summary
The Service Now Developer will focus on building and enhancing solutions on the Service Now platform through scripting, automation, integrations, and AI-driven capabilities. This position will partner closely with business and technical teams to deliver scalable, well-governed Service Now applications while maintaining platform performance and reliability.
Responsibilities- Design and develop Client-side and Server-side scripts including business rules, script includes, and UI policies.
- Build workflows and automations using Flow Designer and legacy workflow tools.
- Configure forms, fields, and user interface components to improve usability.
- Develop integrations with external systems using REST and SOAP APIs.
- Create custom applications using Service Now Studio and App Engine.
- Gather requirements and translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Support platform upgrades, patching, and ongoing system health.
- Review code and ensure alignment with development and governance standards.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 2+ years of hands‑on Service Now development experience.
- In-depth knowledge of Service Now platform architecture, scripting, and AI capabilities.
- Proficiency in JavaScript and the Glide API.
- Experience working within Agile or Scrum delivery environments.
- Familiarity with ITIL processes and Service Now best practices.
- Strong problem‑solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work primarily on‑site with limited remote flexibility after an initial period.
- Service Now Certified Application Developer certification.
- Experience with ITSM, ITOM, or SAM modules.
- Background in API‑based integrations.
- Service Now Administrator experience supporting coverage and continuity.
This is a 6‑month Contract‑for‑Hire opportunity with our Lenexa, KS client. Employee benefits include Medical/Dental Benefits, Paid time off, Paid Holidays, and 401(k). H1‑B Visa sponsorship is not available for this position. No third‑parties, please.
