IT Support Specialist

Description We are looking for an IT Site Support Specialist to provide hands-on technical support for end users and maintain reliable workplace technology in Lenexa, Kansas. This contract opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys resolving hardware, software, and connectivity issues while delivering a strong customer support experience. The person in this role will help keep day-to-day IT operations running smoothly by supporting desktop environments, infrastructure components, and service management processes.

Responsibilities:

- Deliver onsite technical assistance for desktops, laptops, peripherals, and mobile devices to minimize employee downtime.

- Diagnose and resolve incidents involving operating systems, basic network connectivity, user accounts, and standard business applications.

- Manage support requests through the Service Now platform, ensuring accurate documentation, timely updates, and proper ticket resolution.

- Install, configure, and replace end-user hardware and software in accordance with internal IT standards.

- Support local technology infrastructure by identifying issues, escalating complex problems when needed, and coordinating with broader IT teams.

- Perform routine workstation setup, imaging, and deployment for new employees, role changes, and equipment refreshes.

- Maintain inventory records for devices and accessories while helping ensure equipment is tracked and available for business needs. Requirements - Experience providing desktop or help desk support in a business environment.

- Working knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems, and common enterprise applications.

- Familiarity with core networking concepts, with Network+ level knowledge preferred.

- Understanding of PC troubleshooting and support practices aligned with CompTIA A+ concepts.

- Experience using a ticketing system such as Service Now to manage incidents and service requests.

- Ability to communicate technical information clearly and professionally to non-technical users.
