The Management Trainee partners with the leadership team to complete a twelve-month training program focused on a specific track. The position involves learning all aspects of the Home Improvement business within the chosen track during this period.
Upon completion, candidates must demonstrate leadership competencies required for their track and proficiency in all job assignments, with the potential to assume a salaried manager role.
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
- Drive a culture of analytics and sound decision-making to identify key problems and recommend solutions to leadership.
- Leverage resources and tools to create a seamless home improvement experience.
- Interact with various levels within the district, call center, or corporate to learn and demonstrate customer satisfaction and leadership.
- Gather and analyze data systematically to understand issues and generate solutions.
- Support business strategies through effective communication, presentations, and discussions.
- Develop insights into organizational dynamics and provide recommendations for business improvement and employee engagement.
- Complete all program requirements, including passing knowledge tests and manager evaluations.
- Live the SHC Cultural Beliefs daily, focusing on key results.
Job Requirements:
- Enrolled in a partnered university or college.
- Effective communication skills, both oral and written.
- Project management, organizational, and time management skills.
- Ability to adapt to change and display energy for new opportunities.
- Remain productive under pressure or stress.
- Ability to lift and carry products, with occasional lifting of sample cases up to 40 lbs., depending on the track.
- Understand the importance of initiatives and prioritize accordingly.
- Represent the company professionally, adhering to the Code of Conduct and Ethical Business practices.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Preferred Skills:
- Leadership experience, professionally or in extracurricular activities.
- Experience with lead tracking, appointment centers, or call systems.
