Production Batchmaker - Day Shift

Nazdar's manufacturing plant is in search of a Batchmaker to assist in the ink production area.

• Starting Pay: $18.25 (with no previous batch experience) and $20.25/hr (with previous batch making, mixing, and blending experience)

Responsibilities include:

• Weighing or measuring materials, ingredients, and products to ensure conformance to requirements.
• Recording weight of materials used on production records. Introducing appropriate raw materials into batches in the proper sequence.
• Observing the production of the ink and monitoring equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
• Adding or mixing chemicals and ingredients for processing.
• Communicating with batch makers from other shifts.
• Working with the QA department to insure quality standards are met.
• Cleaning equipment and surrounding floor area at the end of each work shift.

• Must be able to stand and walk around the production floor for long periods of time.
• Reach with hands and arms overhead above shoulders.
• Bend to retrieve containers and packages.
• Constantly lift materials to make batches.
• Climb ladders to retrieve materials.
• Talk or hear.
• Frequently lift and/or move up to 65 pounds.
• May be required to push/pull on wheels, up to 4000 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required: the ability to distinguish color.
