QC Scientist ; Micro

QC Scientist 1 (Micro) 1 – Millipore Sigma

Performed as a QC Scientist 1 (Micro) 1, you will support our finished product Quality Control activities, including testing of raw materials and serum. Your work will involve performing tests in accordance with approved procedures or compendia such as USP, EP, and ACS, following site quality and safety standards.

The testing portfolio covers environmental monitoring, bioburden analysis, endotoxin testing, microbial limits testing, microbial identification, and growth promotion of microbiological media and reagents. You will evaluate results against approved specifications, perform peer review of analytical data, and release data from QC in a timely manner to meet scheduled release dates.

Typically, you will handle routine assignments with little direction, using existing procedures and practices that require a solid understanding of analytical/scientific methods or operational processes. You will be accountable for the quality of your own work, providing complete and accurate records that comply with quality guidelines and GDP requirements. You will communicate the status of operations to supervisors and bring deviations to their attention.

Additional duties include maintaining equipment, preparing reagents, restocking lab supplies, and ensuring proper waste disposal. You may need to address unsafe conditions promptly. You may be required to work on weekends or holidays as business needs dictate.

Who You Are

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Biology, Chemistry, or another Life Sciences discipline

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1+ year of laboratory experience in a quality control lab
• Good attention to detail
• Knowledge of site Quality standards
• Familiarity with laboratory instruments and production equipment

Pay Range: $24‑$44 per hour
