Collins Aerospace is excited to welcome a talented Quality Inspector II. In this pivotal role, you’ll be responsible for ensuring quality product is received into the repair station by performing conformity inspections and coordinating non-conforming product dispositions within the compliance of AS9100 and FAA CFR 145 Repair Station requirements.
What You Will Do:- Perform inspection of products received from approved suppliers using a variety of measuring devices and an approved sampling plan.
- Use predetermined methods, operations, setups, and specifications to verify conformance of arriving, in-process, and completed products.
- Raise notifications of non-conformances, quarantine non-conforming product and, when approved to do so, provide disposition. Assist with the coordination of non-conforming product control activities.
- Perform reviews and assessments of area/program performance. Identify and address when a need for improvement is identified.
- Collaborate internally to ensure quality standards are in effect.
- Report directly to, and support other duties where delegated by, the Repair Station Quality Manager.
- Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent) or vocational/technical education in related discipline with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.
- Must be able to read, write, and understand English.
- Must be eligible for an FAA Repairmen Certification per 14 CFR Part 65.
- Must be detail oriented with good communication skills.
- Product inspection experience or technical background is preferred.
