Lab Technician

Join our dynamic team as a Lab Technician, where you will play a crucial role in processing canine blood specimens. You will manage sample collection, process specimens for four to five hours, and document findings. Your work will be conducted in a controlled lab environment, ensuring the highest standards of aseptic technique. Collaborate with a small team while also working independently.

This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM.

Responsibilities:

• Process canine T-cell specimens in a lab setting.
• Perform aseptic techniques and aseptic processing.
• Document findings and processing results.
• Conduct preparatory activities, including loading samples on plates and sterilizing lab items.
• Collaborate with two other lab technicians and occasionally work independently.
• Conduct sample checks once to twice a month on weekends.

Essential

Skills:

• 1+ years of experience in quality control, aseptic techniques, aseptic processing, and pipetting.

Additional Skills &

Qualifications:

• Open to candidates with varying educational backgrounds.
• Experience with USDA Animal Health is advantageous but not required.
• Experience with cell culturing and T-Cell Culture is beneficial.

Work Environment:

Work in a lab environment with a team of 3-4 lab technicians. You will report to the lab supervisor and work primarily during the day shift from Monday to Friday. The position may require weekend sample checks once or twice a month. The team is focused on impactful work, such as contributing to curing cancer in dogs.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
