Overview
The Buyer I position is hands-on in all aspects of an assigned category within Rally House. This position supports product selection, forecasting, trend analysis, assortment planning, and vendor negotiations. Buyers capitalize on opportunities to drive business and offer products in Rally House stores nationwide.
Responsibilities- Allocation of merchandise to stores based on inventory analysis
- Work closely with Marketing and ecommerce teams to drive merchandise sales in-stores and online
- Manage low volume of purchase orders from aspects of purchase order creation, inventory logistics, receiving, and allocation
- Entry level forecasting, reporting, and sales analysis
- Ensure vendor compliance with shipping and pricing policies
- Work independently while managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines
- Identify trends for new products, graphics, and Rally House exclusives
- Able to communicate with others in a clear and confident manner
- Excellent project management and prioritization skills
- Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Strong negotiation skills
2 years of previous buying experience; advanced Excel experience required; bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience preferred. Work is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards. Required to stand and walk; talk or hear, both in person and by telephone; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects or controls; reach with hands and arms;
differentiate colors. Must have the ability to lift and carry small parcels, packages, and other items up to 25 lbs, and to walk short distances.
$55,000.00 - $70,000.00
