Personal Banker – Commerce Bank (Lenexa, KS)

Join Commerce Bank’s personal banking team, serving customers in the Lenexa area. This full‑time position offers hourly compensation from $20.00 to $24.40, plus quarterly incentive opportunities.

Provide an excellent customer experience, building relationships with customers, coworkers, and other business lines to uncover financial needs and deliver suitable solutions.

• Receive training, tools, and resources to become successful and advance within the organization.
• Deliver a superior customer experience in‑person and by phone, ensuring financial needs are met.
• Actively listen and recommend products and services that match individual customer requirements.
• Educate customers on retail products and digital solutions that enhance financial wellness.
• Process financial transactions accurately and efficiently, complying with all policies and regulations.
• Collaborate with internal departments and refer customers to specialists for complex needs.
• Earn additional income through the quarterly incentive program.

• Engage customers in‑person and over the phone to meet their financial needs via needs‑based conversations and sales fulfillment.
• Make product and service recommendations to achieve individual and team sales goals.
• Provide education on retail products and digital solutions that improve the customer experience.
• Ensure accurate and efficient transaction processing while adhering to policies and regulations.
• Identify complex needs and refer customers to specialists when appropriate.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Strong sales skills and ability to provide excellent customer experience.
• Capable of meeting personal and branch sales and service expectations.
• Self‑starter, organized, detail‑oriented with ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Team player with excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Adaptable to varied situations with an optimistic outlook aligned with culture and core values.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

• High school diploma or equivalent plus relevant experience.
• Minimum 1 year of sales or customer service experience.
• Experience in an environment with individual and team sales goals preferred.

May be filled as a Personal Banker I or Personal Banker II, based on experience and education.

This position requires a consumer credit history investigation report if the applicant is considered for the role.

Estimated base pay $20.00 to $24.40 per hour, dependent on location, skill set, experience, and training. Eligible for performance‑based incentive compensation.
