Additional $1.50 per hour shift differential hours worked between 6pm-6am. Must be flexible for overtime and weekend work.
Duties and Responsibilities- Determine items to be cycle counted utilizing SAP.
- Perform cycle counts at 99th Street, Santa Fe, and outside warehouses.
- Demonstrate precise record keeping.
- Investigate inventory errors and adjust records as needed.
- Compare identifying information and counts, weigh or measure items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify against bills of lading, invoices, orders or other records.
- Label or stencil identifying information onto crates or containers.
- Unpack and examine incoming shipments, reject damaged items, record shortages and communicate with shipper to rectify damages and shortages.
- Route items to departments.
- Examine outgoing shipments to ensure they meet specifications.
- Maintain inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
- Operate forklift to move shipments from shipping and receiving platform to storage, work areas, or within warehouses.
- Fill out forklift checklist daily.
- Pull product needed by manufacturing.
- Fill out a warehouse transfer log for items being loaded on trailer.
- Load product on trailer to be taken to distribution center.
- Unload trailer and check product against transfer log for discrepancies.
- Help locate and relocate product as needed.
- Pull orders.
- Check and load outgoing freight.
- Prepare stacks for blends.
- Keep work area sanitary and orderly at all times.
- Follow appropriate safety procedures.
- Report unsafe conditions and work-related accidents to Team Leader, Manufacturing Manager or Safety Manager immediately.
- Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
Job Requirements
One to three months of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
PreferredJob Requirements
Has a CDL license or is willing to obtain one.
Knowledge,Skills and Abilities
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to write simple correspondence.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees.
- Mathematical skills: ability to add, subtract two‑digit numbers, multiply and divide with 10s and 100s; perform these operations using units of American money, weight, volume, and distance.
- Reasoning ability: apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form; deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Valid forklift certification.
- Keyboard (60 wpm), data entry, 10‑key, Windows (Word/Excel); familiarity with inventory and shipping procedures.
Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, use hands for all job tasks, and communicate. Frequently required to reach with hands and arms; occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Requires close, distance, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
WorkEnvironment
Employee frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts in high, precarious places; wet, humid conditions, fumes, vibration, and airborne particles. Noise level in this environment is loud.
