Registered Nurse, Medic-Surgical Unit

$20,000 Sign-on Bonus for Experienced RNs

Full Time, 72 Hours Per Pay Period, Night Shift

Fort Loudoun Medical Center is equipped with a team of more than 200 doctors in morethan 29 specialty areas. Our 87,000-square-foot hospital features advanced technology, including state-of-the-art Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Computerized Tomography (CT), Ultrasound, Diagnostic X-Rays and Women’s Imaging Services, as well as Nuclear Medicine technology unique to our surrounding counties. Position Summary:

Provides professional nursing care within an assigned unit; coordinates care planning with other disciplines.

Responsibilities
  • Correlates patient history and support systems across continuum of care.
  • Completes nursing history and initiates patient education.
  • Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams making recommendations to facilitate patient care.
  • Implements plan of care appropriate to diagnosis and patient needs. Evaluates outcomes.
  • Resolves issues regarding moderately complex issues without oversight or supervision.
  • Supports Clin Nurse III/Clinical Coach in orienting/precepting new employees and students as directed.
  • Demonstrates active participation in unit and/or facility activities that facilitate achievement of department/facility goals and quality initiatives.
  • Demonstrates competence in performing critical skills to include appropriate delivery of care according to the age specific needs of the population served.
  • Supervises LPNs, Nursing Assistants, HUCs, Techs, and sitters.
  • Follows policies, procedures, and safety standards. Completes required education assignments annually. Works toward achieving goals and objectives, and participates in quality improvement initiatives as requested.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Minimum Education:

None specified; however, must be sufficient to meet the standards for achievement of the below indicated license and/or certification as required by the issuing authority.

Minimum Experience:

Must possess at least one (1) year of professional nursing experience.

Licensure Requirement:

Must have and maintain Tennessee State nursing license. CPR required.
