Recreation Department – Part‑Time

Hiring Rate: $9.00

General

Duties and Responsibilities:

Assist in supervising recreational facilities including Mulberry Recreation Center, Martin Luther King Jr. Center, and city‑maintained parks. Other duties include maintaining discipline, housekeeping, ensuring facility and patron safety, and communicating with the public concerning recreation activities.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Must have knowledge of recreation facilities and equipment and ability to deal firmly, tactfully, and courteously with the public and other employees.

Requirements: Completion of high school diploma or GED strongly preferred. Some experience in organized recreation work preferred. This position requires the physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Will work up to 20 hours per week.
