Our client is a highly respected engineering and manufacturing business delivering advanced technical solutions to customers operating in demanding and mission-critical environments and who have already in place plans to double their size within the next 2 – 3 years.

As part of continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to take ownership of complex customer programmes, leading multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-value technical products and solutions from contract award through to successful customer acceptance.

The Role

Reporting into senior leadership, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of multiple customer-facing programmes, ensuring projects are executed safely, efficiently, and profitably whilst maintaining exceptional customer relationships.

Working closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, Supply Chain, Commercial, and Sales teams, you will coordinate programme activities, manage risks and dependencies, and ensure customer commitments are delivered on time and to specification.

Key responsibilities include:

* Leading the delivery of complex engineering and manufacturing programmes.

* Managing customer relationships and acting as the primary point of contact throughout programme delivery.

* Developing and maintaining detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, and forecasts.

* Managing programme risks, issues, opportunities, and change control processes.

* Coordinating cross-functional teams to ensure successful delivery against customer requirements.

* Providing clear programme reporting and performance metrics to senior stakeholders.

* Ensuring commercial, operational, and technical objectives remain aligned throughout the project lifecycle.

* Driving continuous improvement across programme delivery processes.

About You

You will be an experienced Senior Project Manager or Programme Manager with a proven track record of delivering complex technical projects within engineering, manufacturing, defence, aerospace, communications, electronics, systems integration, or other technology-led sectors.

You will be comfortable operating in a customer-facing environment and able to build credibility with both customers and internal stakeholders through clear communication, leadership, and dependable delivery.

We are particularly interested in candidates who have experience delivering technical products, systems, or engineered solutions rather than purely internal business change or transformation programmes.

Essential Experience

* Significant experience managing complex engineering, manufacturing, or technically focused programmes.

* Strong customer-facing project delivery experience.

* Excellent programme planning, governance, risk management, and stakeholder management skills.

* Experience working within manufacturing, engineering, defence, aerospace, electronics, communications, or similar technical environments.

* Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams across engineering, operations, supply chain, and commercial functions.

* Strong commercial awareness and programme delivery expertise.

* Experience working with ERP/MRP-based planning and delivery processes.

* Advanced Microsoft Dynamics 365 experience.

* Desirable Experience

* Defence, aerospace, RF communications, electronics manufacturing, or systems integration experience.

* Experience with in an SME engineering or manufacturing environment.

* Power BI and Power Automate.

* Knowledge of supply chain management, finite capacity planning, and manufacturing operations.

* Existing Security Clearance (SC) or eligibility to obtain clearance.
