The RoleWe’re looking for a passionate and driven Area Sales Manager (ASM) to join our team and take ownership of the South UK territory
. Reporting to the National Sales Manager
, you’ll be responsible for achieving and exceeding your area’s sales plan by developing strong relationships with farmers and merchant sales reps. This is a field‑based role requiring regular farm visits, dual calling with merchant reps, and proactive engagement with key stakeholders in the agricultural sector.
- Achieve the territory’s sales targets through strategic planning and relationship building.
- Conduct at least 15 farm visits per month, either solo or with merchant reps.
- Maintain a forward-planning calendar and update CRM with detailed meeting notes.
- Analyse sales data to identify trends and propose corrective actions.
- Support merchants at auction marts and farmers meetings.
- Attend key national and regional agricultural shows.
- Deliver presentations and build relationships with Key Opinion Leaders.
- Collaborate with internal teams including marketing, customer service, and technical support.
Knowledge & Experience
- Strong understanding of livestock farming.
- Practical experience through education or hands‑on farming work.
- Familiarity with CRM systems and data analysis.
Skills & Attributes
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong time management and IT proficiency (especially PowerPoint and Excel).
- Self‑motivated, enthusiastic, and customer‑focused.
- Able to multitask and deliver creative, flexible solutions.
