IT Business Analyst, Business Systems & Technology Analysis
ERP Systems Analyst | Manufacturing & Net Suite
Location: Leominster, Massachusetts, proposed primary location
Employment: Full-time
Salary: $120k, will flex for right candidate
The opportunity
An established manufacturer of plastic storage and organization products is hiring an ERP Systems Analyst to become its internal resource for business systems support, user adoption, and ongoing improvement.
The company is replacing legacy Sage and SAP environments with Net Suite across finance, manufacturing planning, job costing, inventory, and warehouse management. Both manufacturing plants are expected to transition together, with a target go-live of January 1, subject to project readiness.
Much of the system configuration and process design is already underway with an external implementation partner. This hire will help employees prepare for the transition, resolve day-to-day issues, improve data accuracy, and build confidence in the new system. Following go-live, the role will remain the primary internal contact for ERP support and coordination with external technology partners.
This is a hands-on position for someone who enjoys understanding how a manufacturing business operates and helping employees use its systems effectively.
What you’ll do
ERP support and troubleshooting
- Serve as the first point of contact for ERP questions, transaction issues, access requests, and support tickets.
- Investigate problems across purchasing, inventory, production, order processing, shipping, and finance.
- Determine whether an issue stems from data, user workflow, system behavior, or a technical problem.
- Resolve issues within your scope and coordinate more complex problems with the implementation partner.
- Track open issues, communicate progress, and document solutions to recurring problems.
Net Suite transition and adoption
- Help users prepare for go-live through hands-on support, workflow walkthroughs, and practical training.
- Assist with data review, reconciliation, transaction testing, and validation of business processes.
- Identify gaps between documented workflows and how employees perform their daily work.
- Create clear process guides and support documentation for office, plant, and warehouse employees.
- Help stabilize operations after launch and reinforce consistent use of the new system.
Manufacturing processes and data
- Support workflows covering build-to-inventory, order-to-cash, and procure-to-pay.
- Investigate discrepancies involving inventory, production transactions, purchasing, and related financial records.
- Use Excel and available reporting tools to analyze data and help departments answer operational questions.
- Identify practical improvements that reduce manual entry, recurring errors, and unnecessary workarounds.
IT support and vendor coordination
- Coordinate with the company’s managed IT service provider on employee technology needs and escalations.
- Assist with routine business application, device, and access issues.
- Help maintain support procedures, system documentation, and clear ownership of outstanding requests.
What we’re looking for
- Approximately 3–5 years of relevant experience in ERP support, business systems analysis, ERP administration, or a comparable role.
- Experience supporting business systems in a manufacturing environment.
- Working knowledge of how purchasing, inventory, production, sales orders, shipping, and finance connect within an ERP.
- Hands-on experience investigating system issues and supporting users beyond basic transaction entry.
- Strong Excel skills and the ability to reconcile data, investigate discrepancies, and explain findings.
- Experience documenting workflows, training users, and coordinating with outside technology providers.
- Clear communication, strong follow-through, and sound judgment about when…
