Supply Chain & Material Planner

New England Wire Products, Inc. has an exciting opportunity available for the position of Supply Chain & Material Planner. This person will be responsible for managing inbound and outbound material flow across multiple facilities, ensuring inventory accuracy in SAP, and supporting production continuity through effective planning, scheduling, and supplier coordination. We are looking for someone with strong organizational skills, SAP experience, and a solid understanding of supply chain and logistics processes.

Inbound Logistics & Materials Coordination Schedule inbound freight and obtain transportation quotes from suppliers

Track shipment ETAs to ensure materials arrive on time for production

Review packing lists and verify receipts within SAPUpdate purchase orders and delivery dates to support accurate MRP planning

Manage supplier shipments through the ASN (Advanced Shipping Notice) portal

Production & Material Planning Review production schedules to confirm required materials are available

Maintain accurate material and inventory records in SAP Troubleshoot and resolve failed inventory or material transactions

Outbound Logistics & Intercompany Transfers Coordinate truck shipments between company facilities

Create and manage Stock Transfer Orders (STOs)
Prepare documentation and materials for scheduled and after-hours shipments

Plan shipments of boxes, tubing, mesh, and other production materials

Inventory & Kanban Management Manage Kanban inventory systems to maintain proper stock levels

Monitor purchase orders and replenish materials as needed

Supplier & Quoting Support Assist with material sourcing and pricing quotes

Manage Requests for Quotation (RFQs) and track supplier responses

Qualifications – Supply Chain & Material Planner Degree in Supply Chain or Operations Management desired

Experience with SAP ERP system, particularly in inventory and materials management modules

Strong understanding of supply chain and logistics processes

Familiarity with MRP (Material Requirements Planning) and Kanban systems

Excellent organizational and communication skills

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

Experience working with freight carriers and managing purchase orders

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Self-starter with strong attention to detail

Team player with a positive, solutions-oriented attitude
