Materials Planner

Masis Staffing Solutions is assisting our client, an electronics contract manufacturer, in their search for a Planner/Buyer to join their Purchasing team in Leominster, MA
. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity offering competitive hourly pay and long-term potential.

Full‑Time | Temp‑to‑Perm - Onsite, Monday thru Friday, 7:00am to 4:00pm

The Planner / Buyer is responsible for effective quoting, planning, and procurement of raw materials, MRO items, tooling, and services. This role works closely with Supply Chain and Operations to ensure inventory levels support production requirements while maintaining cost efficiency and quality standards.

• Plan and procure inventory items for assigned commodities, including establishing appropriate safety stock levels
• Obtain bids and place purchase orders for materials, services, and equipment
• Ensure purchase orders and delivery schedules align with production requirements
• Review MRP requirements regularly and adjust inventory levels as needed
• Obtain pricing and lead times through RFQs
• Participate in supplier selection, qualification, and performance evaluation
• Process defective material and debit memos
• Support cost‑reduction initiatives
• Ensure compliance with ISO‑9001 quality standards
• Complete required corporate training and assist with special projects as assigned

• 3–5 years of experience in materials planning and/or purchasing
• 3–5 years of experience purchasing passive electronic components
• Hands‑on experience with MRP systems
• Strong verbal communication and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities with strong attention to detail
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
• Oracle experience preferred
• APICS certification is a plus

• $30/hour pay rate
