Positions are available in our retail locations, field management, and store operations at our Store Support Center in Rochester.
Salary Range: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour based on experience.
The General Service Technician role is full-time or part-time and is an hourly position based on the needs of the business. The role involves performing basic routine vehicle repair and maintenance services in accordance with company standards and manufacturer specifications, delivering exceptional 5-Star service to our guests through effective communication and consistent quality.
Responsibilities- Perform basic vehicle diagnostics and identify required repairs.
- Complete Monro's Courtesy Inspection process on every customer vehicle.
- Assist in inventory management and general store duties.
- Perform services in accordance with Monro's safety standards and procedures.
- Test drive vehicles following company policy and local traffic laws.
- Maintain technical knowledge through required Monro University training.
- Operate and maintain equipment safely according to manufacturer guidelines.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- 2+ years of automotive and sales experience.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work with one’s hands, stand for long periods, and work overhead.
- Excellent communication skills and basic algebra proficiency.
- Guest and team focused mindset.
- ASE certification and state inspection license (where applicable) is preferred.
- Current valid driver’s license with satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report (MVR).
- Basic set of tools or participation in Monro’s tool purchase program.
