As a Respiratory Care Practitioner, you will possess working knowledge of human respiratory anatomy, physiology, and pathology related to respiratory care. You should be familiar with the operation of respiratory care equipment and its clinical application, able to assess hazardous conditions, and work effectively with patients of all ages. The ability to remain calm under stress and communicate well with diverse individuals is essential.

Primary Duties:Assess the physical, psychosocial, spiritual, and cultural dimensions of patients, including educational needs, and document appropriately. Refer to competency validation documents when applicable.
Perform all respiratory therapy treatments and services, including management of oxygen, mixed gases, humidity, ventilators, bronchial hygiene, lung expansion, spirometry testing, EKG, and blood gas analysis.
Employ principles of therapeutic communication, interviewing, problem solving, and crisis intervention during patient care.
Respond to emergencies, perform CPR, maintain airway, and provide oxygen and ventilation as needed.
Enhance workflow efficiency by monitoring interdepartmental systems, reviewing electronic medical records, and recommending improvements.
Associate degree from an AMA-accredited program in respiratory care (AAS Degree or higher).
CRT (Certified Respiratory Therapist) credential, NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist or Pulmonary Function Technician.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications required within one year of hire.
Registry eligible; some experience preferred.
Bachelor's degree in a related healthcare field.
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification from NBRC.
This position offers a hiring range of $34.98 - $62.52.
