Job Details:

• Must successfully pass the Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with minimum overall score of 80% and 100% on lethal rhythms

• 2 years of nursing experience required

• First time travelers accepted

• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS

Skills required:

Telemetry, interpretation of dysrhythmias, management of dysrhythmias

• Weekend and holiday coverage required per unit needs

• Required to float within units of equivalent or lower level of acuity

• 6 weekend shifts per contract required

• 36 hours of orientation

• Two pre-approved time off requests allowed

• Scrubs not provided - Caribbean Blue required

• Flu vaccine required with no exemptions

• Care for adult and geriatric patients with diagnoses including congestive heart failure, MI, atrial fibrillation, cardiac dysrhythmias, stroke/TIA, and other medical conditions

• Work with specialized equipment including safe patient handling equipment and ceiling lifts in every room

• Unit has 34 beds with daily census of 27 patients

• Access to interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
