Trainee DispenserHourly rate: £12.60 and up to £14.13 across selected locations within London. The hourly rate will increase after 6 months in role.
No previous experience required; full training will be provided.
About the OpportunityAs a Trainee Dispenser working within one of our stores, you will be a key member of our pharmacy team supporting the pharmacist and other healthcare professionals to ensure safe and efficient delivery of pharmacy and healthcare services.
You will provide excellent service to patients, including greeting customers, dispensing prescriptions, ensuring safe sale of medicines, and providing advice using your healthcare knowledge. This role is based in‑store within the UK; remote applicants will not be considered.
Key Responsibilities- Complete your training for the Pharmacy Advisor NVQ2 programme
- Prescription dispensing while ensuring the safe supply of medicines (e.g., ordering, labelling, dispensing, endorsing and collection of prescriptions)
- Work with other healthcare professionals to assist in the management and delivery of pharmacy services
- Provide care and advice to patients about medicines and refer queries to the pharmacist as appropriate
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) to support safe and legal dispensing of prescriptions
- Keep up to date with new innovations in store and comply with operational processes
- Support patients to manage their prescriptions and medicines effectively to promote adherence and reduce waste
- Desire to learn and complete the Dispenser training programme (NVQ2)
- Current and valid UK right to work (this role is not eligible for Skilled Worker Visa sponsorship)
- Experience working in community pharmacy
