Job Type: Full‑Time – 36 hours per week

Band: 7 – Salary £52,845 to £61,466 per annum

Distant Island Allowance: £2,578 per annum

Relocation Assistance: Up to £8,000 available

We are looking for a motivated, enthusiastic and experienced podiatrist to join our small team providing podiatric interventions to the population of Shetland. The post is based at Lerwick health centre, with other clinics held at the Gilbert Bain hospital, Independent Living Centre (ILC), outlying health centres, domiciliary visits and care homes.

• Coordinate, develop and lead the podiatry service for MSK and orthopaedics.
• Provide high‑quality care in general podiatry.
• Work in specialist clinics, including nail surgery, diabetes and wound care.
• Propose and implement policy and service developments.
• Serve as a source of information, advice and education to the podiatry team and other health and social care staff.
• Engage in continuous professional development and support service improvement activities.

In addition to the salary, the position includes a Distant Island Allowance and relocation assistance.
