What you will do:
  • Conduct and report on echo studies for a diverse range of patients with complex heart conditions, including congenital heart disease, valvular heart issues, LV dysfunction, and those pre- and post-operatively involved in cardiac surgery.
  • Engage in discussions and present highly complex and unusual echo findings with fellow Physiologist and Consultant colleagues, ensuring clarity on diagnoses.
  • Compile and deliver detailed reports to Consultants or GPs, promptly highlighting any significant or life‑threatening cardiac abnormalities found to the responsible clinician.
Required Qualifications and

Experience:
  • Hold HCPC registration
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in cardiac physiology, specialising in echocardiography
  • A driving licence is preferable for ease of travel around Lerwick and its beautiful surroundings
