Global Highland are proud to be partnering with their long established client in the search for an experienced and motivated Maintenance Engineer - Plumber to join their on-site team in Lerwick, Shetland.
Role OverviewAs a Maintenance Engineer - Plumber, you'll carry out a wide range of planned and reactive maintenance tasks. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you'll be responsible for ensuring plumbing systems are maintained to a high standard, supporting the operational needs of a critical site.
Key Responsibilities- Carry out planned, responsive, and cyclical plumbing maintenance across the site.
- Ensure all work is completed in line with health & safety regulations, COSHH, infection control, and waste disposal procedures.
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs, asset records, and helpdesk reports.
- Participate in a 24/7 on-call rota, ensuring full coverage throughout the year.
- Assist with winter gritting and snow clearance as required.
- Work collaboratively with other team members in delivering site-wide maintenance services.
- Support and comply with company policies, procedures, and operational objectives.
- Carry out additional duties as required to support the needs of the facilities management service.
- Demonstrable experience with commercial boilers and affiliated plant.
- Relevant gas certifications: CCN1, CENWAT, CPA1, HTR
1. - Knowledge and experience of working in critical environments, including Clean Room Validation Processes.
- Understanding and experience managing EMS (Environmental Management Systems) and BMS (Building Management Systems).
- Strong IT literacy across Microsoft Office and maintenance platforms.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in servicing and installation of A/C, HVAC, and Chilled Water Systems.
- City & Guilds 2079 - F-Gas & ODS Regulations certification.
- IPAF and PASMA certified.
- Familiarity with Permit to Work systems and working at height using powered access and fixed ladders.
