Band 7 – Salary Range £52,845 - £61,466 per annum.
Distant Island Allowance of £2,578 per annum. Relocation Assistance of up to £8,000 is available.
OverviewThe Substance Misuse Recovery Service provides community‑based, holistic and recovery‑focused treatment services to people who are experiencing harms related to the use of drugs and alcohol across Shetland. This role offers a challenging opportunity for a Registered General or Mental Health Nurse with relevant management experience to lead, develop and deliver the Service with a human‑rights based approach to health, psychological, social and economic improvements for clients.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage the delivery of evidence‑based interventions, both clinical and psychological.
- Collaborate with local authority and third sector colleagues to coordinate care.
- Ensure management of controlled drugs and compliance with statutory obligations.
- Oversee people management, staff development, and systems/process management.
- Maintain current working knowledge of local and national policy and practice in relation to service user care.
- Registered General or Mental Health Nurse.
- Experience in the management and delivery of evidence‑based care to people experiencing substance use problems.
- Experience in hospital and community‑based primary care environments.
- Good people management skills and ability to develop staff.
- Knowledge of current local and national policies and practices.
- Band 7 salary range: £52,845 - £61,466 per annum.
- Distant Island Allowance: £2,578 per annum.
- Relocation Assistance: up to £8,000.
