Full Time 36 hours per week

Band 7 – Salary Range £52,845 – £61,466 per annum

Distant Island Allowance £2,578 per annum

Relocation Assistance up to £8,000 available

Join our Community Nursing Team and make a real difference to people’s lives across Shetland. As a Band 7 District Nurse Specialist Practitioner, you will lead the delivery of high‑quality, person‑centred care in patients’ homes and community settings. Working autonomously and alongside multidisciplinary colleagues, you will assess, plan, coordinate and evaluate complex care, helping people remain independent and in their own homes wherever possible.

You will provide clinical leadership to a dedicated team of nurses, manage a varied caseload, support staff development and contribute to the ongoing improvement of community services.

We are looking for a motivated and compassionate practitioner with the following:

• District Nursing qualification
• V300 prescribing qualification
• NMC registration
• Full driving licence

Key responsibilities:

• Lead the delivery of high‑quality, person‑centred community care.
• Assess, plan, coordinate and evaluate complex care for patient caseload.
• Provide clinical leadership to a multidisciplinary team.
• Support and develop staff, contributing to service improvement.
