Senior Social Care Worker – Supervisor

Senior Social Care Worker – Supervisor are responsible for providing support to individuals in a variety of settings, ensuring a high standard of service delivery and enabling them to live well through their strengths, skills and community connections.

• Provide support to individuals, ensuring high standards of care and service delivery in all settings.
• Ensure care and support comply with relevant legislation and national guidance.
• Deliver person‑centred support, maintaining a positive ethos that promotes independence.
• Assist with the delivery and development of the service, supervising, coaching and developing staff.
• Actively participate in person‑centred planning to support desired outcomes.
• Guarantee the service promotes the health and wellbeing of users.

• Grade: I/J (career graded).
• Salary inclusive of Distant Islands Allowance of £2,997 per annum (pro rata).
• Hours:
  
  Permanent part–time or full post, 24–37 hours per week, 52.18 weeks per year.
• Minimum of 24 hours per week.
• Must join the Protecting Vulnerable Groups Scheme or complete an update prior to offer.
• Required to register with the Scottish Social Services Council when commencing.
• No relocation package.
• Interview expenses will be paid within Shetland.
• Candidate must be able to travel throughout Shetland on short notice where public transport is limited.
• Flexible working arrangements are considered.
