Working closely with the Senior Surveyor and wider project team, you will play an important role in supporting the commercial delivery of residential developments from procurement through to final account. The role will provide exposure to a broad range of commercial activities, including subcontractor procurement, cost management, valuations, forecasting and contract administration.
To assist with Commercial management of residential housing schemes, with a focus on procurement, payments and day to day running of a project. Ensuring the Company achieves value for money, whilst continuing to deliver 5-star quality housing.
What you’ll be doingYou will work closely with subcontractors, suppliers, consultants and internal stakeholders to monitor project progress, manage costs and support the smooth financial running of each development. The role will also involve supporting the preparation of commercial reports, identifying risks and opportunities, and assisting with the achievement of project profit and cashflow objectives.
Skills & knowledge you’ll bring- Approximately 1-2 years relevant work experience preferred, but recent graduate could perform the role.
- Excellent numerical skills and an understanding of financial management.
- Able to use Microsoft packages and familiarity using MS excel and spreadsheets.
- Analytical mind and methodical approach.
- Good construction knowledge.
- Experience of Coins desirable, but not essential.
- Ability to influence and build strong relationships across all levels of the organisation.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
