Senior Quantity Surveyor | Commercial & Healthcare Refurbs | Hertfordshire | Up to £85,000
I'm working with an established main contractor who are looking to appoint an Intermediate or Senior Quantity Surveyor to strengthen their commercial team following an increase in workload.
The business delivers commercial refurbishment, cut-and-carve and CAT A projects, alongside long-term government frameworks including DWP Jobcentre schemes.
This is an opportunity for an experienced surveyor to take commercial ownership of either two projects valued below £10m or a single larger scheme, depending on size and complexity.
The Role- Commercial management of refurbishment and framework projects
- Managing either two projects below £10m or one larger project above £10m
- Procurement and management of subcontract packages
- Preparing CVRs, forecasts and monthly commercial reports
- Managing valuations, applications for payment and subcontractor payments
- Controlling variations, change and contractual risk
- Managing subcontract accounts through to final account
- Working closely with operational teams, clients and framework partners
- Commercial refurbishment
- Cut-and-carve projects
- CAT A fit-out
- Government and public-sector frameworks
- Individual projects ranging from smaller framework works to £10m+
- Intermediate or Senior Quantity Surveyor with main-contractor experience
- Strong commercial refurbishment or fit-out background
- Experience commercially managing projects with limited supervision
- Confident across procurement, CVRs, valuations, forecasting and final accounts
- Framework or public-sector experience would be advantageous
- Comfortable managing multiple smaller schemes or taking ownership of one larger project
- Established main contractor with a strong commercial-refurbishment offering
- Growing business with c £60m turnover
- Secured workload through government and public-sector frameworks
- Regular pipeline of DWP projects
- Varied workload covering refurbishment, CAT A and structural alteration schemes
- Opportunity to take responsibility within an experienced commercial team
