Macildowie Procurement, Supply Chain & Logistics Buyer – Up to £40,000 Per Annum
- Letchworth Garden City Monday – Friday, 9am - 5pm
- Hybrid Working Available Macildowie Procurement has partnered with a reputable and global manufacturing business based in Letchworth Garden City to recruit a Buyer. The key objectives are to operate in a transactional and reactive environment, supporting the Procurement Manager and leading with the day-to-day procurement duties. Carrying out duties such as raising PO's, forecasting, on-boarding new suppliers and ensuring that suppliers are compliant.
Main Responsibilities Ensure stock availability aligns with the production schedule. Build and maintain effective working relationships with both internal teams and external stakeholders. Assist in future demand planning based on seasonal activities. Provide input on projected inventory and availability levels, raising alerts for potential issues. Ensure accurate visibility on planned product arrivals for assigned SKUs. Manage and conduct tendering processes.
Raise routine purchase orders for production stock and ad hoc requirements, focusing on best quality, price, and delivery. Review stock shortage reports and complete necessary actions to avoid production shortages, including communication with vendors, production and the warehouse. Manage freight and monitor/expedite order deliveries, reporting any supplier delivery issues. Maintain and optimise the purchasing relationship with suppliers, ensuring materials meet specified cost, quality, and delivery targets.
The Candidate Previous experience operating in a Buyer, Purchasing or Supply Chain position. Able to travel to Letchworth Garden City. Proficient user of Microsoft Office including Excel. Excellent communication skills. Ability to operate in a fast paced procurement environment. Benefits 25 days holiday entitlement plus Bank Holidays. Generous pension contribution. Private Healthcare.
