£40,000 – £75,000 per annum (long‑term trade opportunities – permanent, full‑time).

Location:

Baldock, Hertfordshire (SG7).

AJS Construct Ltd is a fast‑growing, well‑respected refurbishment and fit‑out main contractor based in Baldock, North Hertfordshire. We are expanding across North London, the Home Counties and the A1 corridor to Peterborough, offering tradespeople regular work, excellent rates and a variety of projects rather than stop‑start jobs.

• Work on diverse commercial fit‑outs, education, leisure, hospitality, heritage refurbishments and new‑build schemes.
• Undertake all types of internal and external commercial refurbishment as a Fully Skilled Multi Trade Operative.
• Specialise as a Partitioner: understand all types of metal stud and track and traditional timber stud (advantageous knowledge of systems such as Komfort, Tenon).
• Carry out Carpenters’ duties: primarily 2nd‑fix, with some 1st‑fix work, ensuring a high standard of installation.
• Act as a Ceiling Fixer, knowledgeable about all types of ceilings including Suspended grid, MF, Burgess etc.
• Execute General Builder tasks: groundworks, drainage, concrete, brickwork, and structural alterations.
• Complete Decorating work across all aspects of commercial decorating.
• Provide multi‑skilled trades services across carpentry, ceiling fixing, partitioning and floor laying.

• Polite, professional conduct in public environments.
• Clean, presentable appearance with effective communication with team members and management.
• Capability to blend with the current team and deliver regular contract work.
• Experience or willingness to work on price‑work basis with an agreed day rate; vans supplied where available.
