Accounting Technician

• The rate of pay will be based on experience and industry standards
• Monday through Friday, daytime hours

• Manage full-cycle accounting activities across multiple entities
• Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close processes
• Maintain general ledgers and ensure the accuracy of financial records
• Prepare monthly financial statements, reporting packages, and variance analysis
• Monitor and reconcile intercompany transactions and accounts
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities
• Oversee accounts payable processes and ensure timely, accurate payment processing
• Assist with year-end preparation and external reporting requirements
• Develop and improve accounting procedures, documentation, and internal controls
• Provide financial support and guidance to internal stakeholders and leadership teams

• Minimum 3 years of progressive accounting experience
• Post secondary education in accounting, finance or related field
• Strong understanding of full-cycle accounting and month-end procedures
• Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong communication, organization, and time management skills
• Ability to work independently while managing competing priorities

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
• Exposure to budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
• CPA designation or working towards CPA designation
