Municipal Accounting Technician in Taber

This position requires someone with at least 3 years of accounting experience, particularly in a municipal setting. You will manage capital project accounts, prepare budgets, process journal entries, and assist in financial analysis. Strong knowledge of PSAS and proficiency with GP Dynamics is essential for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and reconcile capital project accounts

• Prepare and monitor capital budgets

• Process journal entries and reconciliations

• Assist with financial statement preparation

• Prepare detailed financial reports for stakeholders

Requirements:

• Diploma in Accounting or Finance, CPA is an asset

• Minimum 3 years of municipal accounting experience

• Knowledge of PSAS and municipal practices

• Proficient in GP Dynamics and Microsoft Office

• Excellent analytical and interpersonal skills
