REPORTS TO: People Development Manager

HOURS: Full-Time 40 hours weekly

SUMMARY: The Payroll & Finance Specialist is responsible for the accurate and compliant administration of payroll while also supporting accounts payable and financial administration functions. This cross‑functional role ensures employees are paid accurately and on time, payroll obligations are met in accordance with applicable legislation, vendor invoices and payments are processed efficiently, and financial records are maintained in compliance with company policies and audit requirements.

This role serves as a key liaison between employees, vendors, People Development, and Finance, providing exceptional service, maintaining strict confidentiality, and contributing to the continuous improvement of payroll and financial processes.

Payroll responsibilities take precedence during payroll processing and legislated deadlines. Outside of these periods, the role balances payroll and accounts payable duties based on operational requirements.
