We are proud to be recognized as one of Canada’s 50 Best Managed Companies and are currently seeking a qualified and experienced 4th year Journeyman to join our Service Team on a full‑time basis.
ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Performing complete and accurate vehicle diagnostics
- Completing repairs and verifying the effectiveness of all repairs
- Diagnosing and repairing vehicles with electrical and drivability concerns
- Ensuring every vehicle receives a complete inspection, with findings clearly documented and quoted
- Completing all repair order documentation accurately and immediately in accordance with GM requirements, policies, and procedures
- Providing complete and accurate quotes, including all required parts and fluids
- Ensuring proper time punches for diagnosis, individual operations, and out‑of‑the‑ordinary repair functions
- Performing AMVIC and Out of Province inspections on customer and dealership‑owned vehicles as required
- A 4th year Journeyman Automotive Service Technician Certificate is required
- Minimum of two years’ experience in drivability and electrical diagnostics and repair (five years or more preferred)
- Strong knowledge of automotive electrical, drivability, and mechanical systems
- General Motors training and/or experience is preferred
- Previous experience performing vehicle inspections is an asset
- Valid Alberta Class 5 Driver’s License required
- Ability to speak, read, and write English
- Basic computer and application skills
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities
- Ability to develop effective and creative solutions
- Self‑motivated, accurate, and detail‑oriented
- Commitment to quality workmanship
- Willingness to participate in continuous improvement and ongoing training
- 8‑hour shifts (plus a 30‑minute unpaid lunch), Monday to Friday
- Shift start times between 7:30 a.m. and 9:00 a.m.
- Shift end times between 4:00 p.m. and 5:30 p.m.
- Occasional Saturday work required on a rotational basis during peak seasons
