Automotive Journeyman Technician

Lethbridge Hyundai is expanding and currently seeking a Journeyman Technician to join our team. Our Service Technicians are responsible for working attentively in maintaining, repairing and servicing customer vehicles to ensure the safety and customer satisfaction as well as overall department success.

Responsibilities

Perform routine automotive maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tire rotations, and filter replacements.

Diagnose and repair vehicle issues, such as engine problems, electrical malfunctions, and brake system failures.

Conduct inspections and testing to identify any potential issues or safety concerns.

Use diagnostic tools and equipment to accurately diagnose and troubleshoot vehicle problems.

Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient and timely completion of repairs.

Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer concerns and explaining repair recommendations.

Experience

Previous experience working in an automotive repair shop or dealership is required.

Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of automotive systems and components.

Strong aptitude related to vehicle electronics and diagnosis of electrical systems.

Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and resolve vehicle issues.

Experience with heavy lifting and physical labor required.

Valid Automotive Service Technician license or Apprentice trade certificate is required.

Valid drivers license and clean driving record required.

Skills

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Customer service-oriented mindset.

Able to operate manual and automatic transmissions.
