Experienced Asphalt Screed Operator

Volker Stevin is seeking an experienced Asphalt Screed Operator to enhance our Roads & Paving team in Lethbridge and Ft. McMurray. This hands-on role requires expertise in asphalt paving and teamwork for top-quality surfaces.

As an Asphalt Screed Operator, you will play a vital part in delivering high-quality asphalt finishes while working closely with the paving crew. This role emphasizes safety and attention to detail, requiring a solid understanding of asphalt techniques and the ability to read grading plans. Ideal candidates will have at least three years of experience in this field, as well as a valid Class 5 Driver’s License.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate asphalt screed for precise grading and finishing

• Monitor asphalt flow for consistency and quality

• Collaborate closely with the Paver Operator

• Perform daily equipment inspections and maintenance

• Adhere to all safety procedures and policies

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in asphalt paving

• Strong knowledge of asphalt techniques

• Ability to read grades and paving plans

• Valid Class 5 Driver's License with minimal demerits

• Pre-employment testing evaluation required
