Dental Assistant DA II; Pediatric Office

Pediatric Dental office is looking for Dental Assistant Level II with 2-3 years of experience. Pediatric experience an asset.

• Experienced Level II Dental Assistant (Level II Diploma or have NDAEB Certificate)
• Ideally have 2/3years of experience
• Pediatric experience preferred
• Tracker experience preferred
• Enjoy working with kids

Keele & St. Clair (Free Parking)

3-4 weekdays 8-5 & 2 Sat per month 8-2

$26-$32/hr depending on experience and performance

• Assisting dentist during dental procedures that features handing instruments and other materials
• Sterilizing instruments
• Assisting dentist with crowns, fillings, sealants,extractions,floride treatments etc.
• Placement and removal of rubber dams
• Taking x-rays of patients' teethand exposing dental diagnostic x-rays
• Using suction and swabs to keep patients' mouths clear and dry during procedures
• Taking preliminary impressions of teeth for study models
• Applying pit and fissure sealants and topical anesthetics
• Questioning patients about their medical history and recording the information for dentist's reference
• Advising patients on dental care, oral hygiene and plaque control programs
• Making patients of all ages feel comfortable before,during and after dental treatment
