Position Overview

The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at the University of Lethbridge invites applications for a full‑time, continuing Chemistry Instructor. This appointment will be at the rank of Instructor III. The expected start date of the appointment is July 1, 2026, subject to budgetary approval. Hiring salary will be in the range of $64,745 to $75,000 per year, commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Responsibilities
  • Teach introductory and senior courses in the Chemistry program, including delivery of and/or coordination of classroom and laboratory course components.
  • Bring complementary experience and expertise that supports existing teaching capacity and assists the diversification of the curriculum.
  • Engage and inspire students in their academic work.
  • Show initiative in contributing to the department’s programs and curriculum development.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor and Doctoral degrees in chemistry.
  • Teaching experience in chemistry courses at the undergraduate level.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with laboratory instruction and curriculum development.
