Position Details
Reporting to the Manager, Admissions, Curriculum & Transfer, the Curriculum & Transfer Specialist is an integral member of the Registrar’s Office (RO) team. This role requires strong problem‑solving skills, the ability to work independently and collaboratively, and the capacity to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment. The Specialist supports the institution’s strategic enrolment goals by overseeing and coordinating curriculum management, transfer agreements, and prior learning processes, while ensuring the integrity and accuracy of academic information systems.
Responsibilities- Support the creation, maintenance, and accuracy of program, course, and curriculum information within Colleague.
- Collaborate with Academic Centres during the development or revision of curriculum.
- Participate in curriculum committee meetings, program vitality reviews, and the preparation of approval documentation for Academic Council.
- Ensure all curriculum processes align with institutional standards and academic governance procedures.
- Facilitate both incoming and outgoing transfer agreements, evaluate course outlines from other post‑secondary institutions to determine equivalencies, and support the development of outgoing articulation agreements.
- Act as the Alberta Council on Admissions and Transfer (ACAT) Contact Persons’ Assistant to coordinate agreements with partner institutions across Alberta, Canada, and internationally.
- Coordinate prior learning assessment requests in collaboration with students, academic departments, and external organizations, ensuring timely and accurate evaluation of prior learning and experience for credit.
- Manage the academic calendar, maintaining accurate and up‑to‑date information on courses and programs.
- Maintain system accuracy and correct reporting of course and program information.
- University Undergraduate degree.
- Employment in a Registrar’s Office in a post‑secondary institution, public institution, for 3+ years with relevant experience in curriculum.
Salary Level 11, Step 1: $56,861.97 per year.
