Youth Camp Coordinator at KAN Centre

This position involves planning, facilitating, and overseeing a variety of nature camps, focusing on creating positive experiences for participants. Responsibilities include ensuring safety, guiding junior counselors, and delivering engaging nature-based activities. You will also manage resources and assist in maintaining the KAN Centre’s library and grounds. Communication with families and content creation for digital platforms are key components of this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and facilitate nature-centered programming for youth

• Oversee participant health and engagement during camps

• Communicate effectively with parents and staff

• Assist with general upkeep including gardening and food prep

• Conduct educational tours of the KAN Centre

Requirements:

• Prior experience working with children in camps

• Strong connection to the natural environment

• Capability to follow directions and work as a team

• Clear Criminal Reference Check with Vulnerable Sector

• Valid First Aid and CPR certification
