The Superior-Greenstone District School Board is thrilled to offer the 2027 Reach Ahead Program! This unique initiative provides Grade 8 students the opportunity to earn a high school credit before completing elementary school, giving them a valuable head start on their academic journey.

Position: Reach Ahead Program Educator (2 positions - Virtual)

Course Code: PAI
10 – Healthy Living and Individual and Small-Group Activities

Time Commitment: 6 hours per week from March 2027 to June 2027 (after school hours)

Delivery Mode: Online instruction with both synchronous and asynchronous components

• Foster a smooth transition from elementary to high school.
• Promote essential lifelong wellness skills.
• Explore topics such as physical fitness, teamwork, healthy decision‑making, and strategies for maintaining a balanced lifestyle.

• Deliver engaging lessons using a combination of synchronous and asynchronous methods.
• Support and guide students in exploring course content.
• Promote teamwork, healthy decision‑making, and balanced lifestyles.
• Foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment.

• Ontario Teaching Certification (OCT)
• Experience teaching physical education or health is an asset
• Strong communication and online facilitation skills
