Position: Join as Heavy Equipment Technician Instructor
Become an integral part of the teaching team at the Crooks School of Transportation as a Heavy Equipment Technician Instructor. This full-time temporary role is available from August 2026 to June 2027.

The Centre for Trades and Technologies seeks a committed individual to deliver quality instruction in heavy equipment mechanics. Your responsibilities will include classroom teaching, hands-on workshops, and ongoing curriculum improvement. Working closely with faculty, you'll contribute to delivering high-quality education and training.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach heavy equipment repair following industry standards

• Create lesson plans and assessments for learning goals

• Guide students through practical equipment tasks

• Progressively assess and support student learning

• Uphold safety measures and proper equipment usage

Requirements:

• Red Seal Certification as Heavy Duty Equipment Technician

• 5+ years of hands-on industry experience

• Previous teaching experience preferred

• Strong organizational and communication skills

• Familiarity with diagnostic tools and technologies
